Talking is Cheaper than Programming

Planning seems to be an overlooked art within the web application community .You've heard 'Fail to Plan equals Plan to Fail'

The 'WebSimple' (we b simple) Process consists of 8 straight forward, logical steps. It attacks the fundamental problem of most projects -- WYEUWINWYRW -'What You Ended Up With Is Not What You Really Wanted'.

1. Free Consultation

Our goal of this step is to ensure that we are the right match for your development needs. By learning about your business, your website goals, your intended audience and the other 43 questions we may ask of you. We can confirm if we will be the proper fit with your vision. We also want to answer any and all questions you may have of us and our systems. We explain the details of our past work and where and how it may fit in with your intended project.

2. Written Proposal

After we clearly understand what results you desire, by when and for whom, we will research and prepare a written proposal for your project. We will study your industry if necessary and prepare any necessary competitive analysis, by region or business model. After your review and approval we move on....

3. Wirefaming and Dialog

Wireframing -- is a way to layout all the pages and links in your site in a way that you may click through a working model of the site. No colors or graphics are done at this stage – we just focus on what the pages must do and the flow between pages. We utilize our wireframing tool to quickly create a online stripped down outline. We will dialog in person or over the phone to reach an approved flow and the list of necessary components for your website.

4. Prototyping and Web-log

Next we will create an HTML prototype of the website. You will end up with an exact visual model of the site – with correct colors, graphics and layout but no functionality other than the links and buttons going to the correct pages. This may seem like trouble to create, but we would rather complete this simple fundamental planning step and get feedback now, then write complex CFML, SQL and have to rewrite it again and again?

Our Web-log system are simple user notes that appear at the bottom of each prototype page that you can add comments to. They are used to log and communicate changes to the pages in written form.

A review with you and other end users of the program and some changes suggested by all will lead to the formal sign-off on the prototype pages. From this point on we know exactly what the site will look like – no graphics or layout changes should need to be made until after delivery.

5. Construction And Coding

Taking your business to the webNow we are ready to start the architecture of the application. This step 100% us. This is where the complex and labor intensive coding and database development takes place. This step will move faster and at lower costs because we took the time to plan in the previous steps. Interaction and dialog will have been completed by this step.

6. Testing, Testing and...Test Again

(It's OK if you didn't study). This is 98.5% our process, we test what we have built and retest and retest. We Unit Test, Use Test, Stress Test and Test the full Application. We want to and will find the 'BUGs' in the system. When we are nearly through testing, we will ask you to take the system for a test run. Our client's level of testing varies greatly based on scale and application sensitivity.

7. Delivery and Deployment

Now it is 'done', and you can open the flood gates. You can 'go live' and run the applications and website as your needs dictate. This will be the site you planned for and requested. There will be no surprises. We will be monitoring and keeping open dialog with you and your staff as needed.

8. Signoff

By using our 'WebSimple' Process our applications are less buggy, developed faster, and our clients are happier because we delivered exactly what they asked for. This final step is where you signoff and say that we have completed our job, and you are satisfied. If our agreement calls for Hosting or ongoing support we will work with and be available to you as needed.

We look forward to discussing and possibly working on your project. Please view some of our past work and read our testimonials, we can go into greater detail when you contact us, write us or give us a call, Today at 704-351-3925..
